TEACHING PHILOSOPHY
I strive to be a teacher who can fulfill the learning needs of all students, by having a student centered approach. In order to meet the needs of all students, I will create a positive and safe learning environment for all students. I believe having a student centered classroom will produce equity inside the classroom. Creating a trusting bond between students and teacher is key to an efficient and positive classroom. Additionally, in a math classroom, I believe that homework is practice, and should not be penalized. Aside from carrying out math problems, I want to help the students understand why they are doing something, by using real world applications. Moreover, a continuation and expanded form of my teaching philosophy as well as data-based research and application in the classroom, can be found below.
